The Hole Info

Boasting of nearly unobstructed sunrise and sunset views, with the city lights of Palomas, Mexico illuminating our southern horizon nightly, the home is centered in the middle of a 1.25 acre lot on the upper northern most outskirt of town called Pershing Heights (named after General "BlackJack" Pershing who led the 1918 military expedition to capture Columbus's most the infamous visitors. Francisco "Pancho" Villa).

The house proper, is surrounded by a bloc wall that provides your privacy, and a barrier between your comfort and all the desert thorns, stickers and critters.

Your quarters includes HIGH SPEED FIBER OPTIC Wi-Fi (100mbps), the Living Room, a full business office suite, Library/Movie room, two well appointed bedrooms (a master and a guestroom), a full bathroom (completely remodeled to include granite counters and a spacious walk-in shower), shared access to the kitchen with your host, and covered parking for your car. (Stays longer than 2 days have access to washer/dryer too).

Additional services available include (but not limited to):
- Cooked meals

- House cleaning

- Laundry service/use (free to extended stays of a week or more)
- Driver
- Escort to Pink Store shopping and dining in Palomas, Mexico (You must have valid ID. Drivers license or passport)
- Room cleaning services
- Hot Tub heating (charcoal heated wooden tub. Will stay warm overnight)
- Sleep Under the Stars outside on inflatable queen size and tall bed
- Fire pit(s) wood and/or propane fuel
- Central Heating fuel (propane) for thermostat set over 65 degrees. Space heaters are provided for no-cost additional heat.

By the way, The first thing you'll notice upon stepping from the marble floored foyer into the living room, is how the unique flooring throughout the house provides your first unexpected level of comfort in your Southwest home-away-from-home. Kick your boots off, and accept the soothe traveler.

The Hole Property

Guests at the Hole in the Wall have full access to the surrounding property, inside and outside the wall.

Inside the wall amenities include:

The entire front yard as your own personal space. You can even opt to spend the night under the stars on a queen size inflatable bed out there. And boy do we have stars.

You'll have access to the BBQ and adjacent outdoor dining area complete with a giant umbrella to keep you shaded.

MOST OF ALL - You'll find the Hole in the Wall that leads you to the Cool pool / Hot tub, sunbathing deck w/chaise lounges, and a shaded spot to sit and enjoy the sounds and views anytime of the day.

Just a few quick things you might oughta know before your stay:

MOST IMPORTANT: AFTER MAKING RESERVATION

Shoot me a text (your reservation will have my phone number), so I can add your contact info to my phone. OTHERWISE your calls will go directly to voicemail. Please include your name on the reservation. This name MUST match your I.D. upon check-in.

Let me know if you need to check-in after hours ASAP.

Incase it matters:

The "POOL" - The rental includes free use of Two Person Cedar Tub as a "Cool Pool". There's an additional $50 charge to convert it to a Hot Tub via a built in charcoal stove. This takes 3-5 hours depending on the temperature. Please advise me asap for this service.

CHILDREN - The Getaway is Desert Property. IT IS NOT SUITED FOR CHILDREN. There is NO CHILDPROOFING. The environment is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN. Every plant, bush and tree HAVE THORNS. The property is a CACTUS GARDEN. And all variety of desert critters abound. ie Rattle snakes, Scorpions, Spiders and wildlife.

PET POLICY - HUNTING DOGS WELCOME to stay kenneled or caged outside the walls of the rental property. A covered area for your truck and/or portable kennels is available.

NO FAMILY PETS ARE ALLOWED inside the walls of the rental. Why? Because I have two small dogs that rule the roost. (no worries. They are isolated from your entire rental quarters).

A/C in the entire house is provided free by Evaporative Cooler. The preferred method here in Columbus. ALL rooms in the rental have ceiling fans. The bedrooms are equipped with additional indoor fan/coolers.

FREE Heating is set 65 degrees, and is provided by Propane fueled forced-air central heat throughout the rental. There's a $25 a day charge if want warmer temps. INCLUDED in each bedroom are space heaters you may use at no additional charges.

FRESH GROCERIES UNAVAILABLE IN COLUMBUS - If you're planning on buying groceries for your visit, Buy them on your way in from Deming or El Paso. The village grocery store is sparse on groceries, big on beer. We do have a Family Dollar and Dollar General.

KITCHEN PRIVILEGES -You're welcome to bring your own food and cook it, or, hire your Host to provide and prepare your meals of choice. He's also your Espresso barista at the Hole's coffee bar if you like.

Breakfast - Included breakfast is a basic non-perishable continental, cereal's, toast, coffee (decaf available), and subject to change.

Tobacco smokers ARE welcome OUTSIDE! (I enjoy a cigar now and then) 420 Smokers welcome anywhere my sista's and brotha's. We're a legal state.

Alcohol permitted (As long as you're not a mean or violent drunk, in which case, I'll throw your ass out). If you want to drink liquor while you're here, bring it / buy it before you get here if you can. We do have one liquor store with very limited product, and operating hours.

Refrigerator - A small space will be available for 2 night stays. Extended stays have half.

Food - What's mine is mine, what's yours is yours. If what's mine BECOMES YOURS, you're paying for it. Capish cowboys and cowgirls?

Sense of Humor - A good one will go a long way at the Hole!
